Faculty March in Solidarity Against Racism

The University of Pennsylvania Faculty Senate Executive Committee, led by Penn AHEAD's Executive Director Dr. Laura Perna, hosted a march of solidarity against racism on November 16, 2016. Faculty, students, staff, and administrators joined together in support of black students and others impacted by recent racially-motivated events. Penn President, Dr. Amy Gutmann, reminded students that there is strength in unity.

"We will continue to work together, because in unity there really is strength. The arc of the universe bends towards justice, but not fast enough. We will work to make it happen", she stated. "I am glad we are in solidarity, united againts hatred."
