Gaston College's Career and College Promise program provides dual enrollment opportunities tuition-free for eligible NC high school students. The program offers College Transfer Pathways as well as Career and Technical Education Pathways. CCP requires that students be 1) current juniors or seniors in high school 2) have a weighted GPA of 3.0 on high school courses 3) demonstrate college readiness on the PLAN, PSAT, SAT, ACT, COMPASS, Accuplacer, ASSET and 4) maintain a 2.0 college GPA after 2 courses at Gaston. For CTE certificates, 2) can be waived with principal approval and 3) is only necessary if courses have prerequisites.
