The Nevada Promise Scholarship was signed into law June 2017 and provides tuition and fees to each of Nevada's four community colleges on a last dollar basis. The first cohort of eligible students is expected in Fall 2018. Eligible students do not need to meet income or academic merit requirements, but must be state residents. Students must also complete community service and take part in workshops to receive the award. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to remain eligible as they progress.
