Achieve Atlanta
The Achieve Atlanta Scholarship was created in 2014 and launched in July 2015. The scholarship targets graduates of Atlanta Public Schools, including charter schools. It offers up to $5,000 per year for students enrolled in four-year programs and up to $1,500 per year to those attending a two-year program. The scholarship can be used at any school; however, schools outside of Georgia must have at least a 44% graduation rate. Money is awarded on a need-based, last-dollar basis. The program is funded by the Joseph B. Whitehead Foundation, and it received additional resources from the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, Atlanta Public Schools, the Suntrust Foundation, the Zest Foundation, and Kaiser Permanente.
