Seattle Promise
The Seattle Promise was established in 2018, for all graduates of all Seattle public high schools, building on the 13th Year Scholarship that was established at South Seattle College. The award covers tuition on a last dollar basis for 2 years at any Seattle community college (starting in 2020). There is no merit or need based requirement. Funding for the program comes from a local sugary beverage tax and the Families and Education Levy renewal that passed in Fall 2019.
