Rhode Island Promise
The Rhode Island Promise, an extension of the Rhode Island Promise Scholarship first announced in 2015, is a commitment to Rhode Island residents. The award provides two years of tuition and mandatory fees on a last dollar basis to the Community College of Rhode Island. There are no income or merit requirements to be eligible for the award. Students may also use the award for junior and senior year at University of Rhode Island or Rhode Island College. The program is funded through a $30 million state investment.
