Los Angeles College Promise

The Los Angeles Promise was established in 2016 by Mayor Garcetti. The program offers a free year of community college to students in Los Angeles Unified School District along with priority enrollment and an array of academic and support services. In October 2017, Governor Brown signed Assembly Bill 19. This bill created the California College Promise, a program providing free tuition for one year at select California community colleges for full-time students. This bill will provide extra funding for the LA Promise.
