Long Beach College Promise

    Long Beach College Promise was established in 2008 for students who reside in Long Beach. The award provides a free semester of tuition at Long Beach City College and guaranteed transfer to CSU-Long Beach. Students take a pledge in 8th grade and high school students who meet merit requirements are eligible. The program is funded by Long Beach City College Foundation and a long-term partnership by the City of Long Beach, Long Beach Unified School District, and the local community college and university.
