Dallas County Promise
The Dallas County Promise was established in 2017 (formerly the Rising Star program) and will begin once 2018 high school seniors graduate from 1 of 31 promise schools qualifying for the Promise program. The program offers free tuition for up to 3 years or for an associate's degree at 1 of 7 Dallas County Ccommunity College District (DCCCD) colleges.The program also allows for students to transfer with scholarships to UNT-Dallas or SMU. Students must also omplete the Promise Pledge by its deadline, and cmplete the FAFSA or TASFA. Each student will receive a Success Coach mentor.This is a last dollar program funded by the DCCCD Foundation.
