Give Something Back Foundation - Illinois

The Give Something Back Foundation was established in 2003 for students who reside in Delaware, Illinois, or New Jersey. The Foundation negotiations tuition and housing discounts on a last dollar basis for students who meet income and merit requirements. Students are identified in 9th grade and can attend Rowan University, College of New Jersey, Montclair State, University of Delaware, Blackburn College, Lewis University, and University of St. Francis. The program is funded by donor, Bob Carr, and other individual donors. is different from other educational philanthropies that simply write checks in support of education. GSBF works with high school administrators and teachers to identify 9th-grade students who are a good fit for the program--students that possess academic potential and come from families that lack the means to afford college.
